Materials List

• Drawing pencils — B, 2B, 4B, 6B
• Soft willow charcoal — 4–5 sticks
• Compressed charcoal sticks, black — 2–3
• Fine line pen — black ink

• 2 brushes suitable for watercolour, ink, or acrylic — size of your choice
• Black Indian ink or similar
• One additional ink colour of your choice

• Drawing paper — 120gsm or heavier, a few sheets 10–15 (100×70cm)Will be cut to a specific size in the first session
• Sketching paper — simple and inexpensive, brown or whiteCan be found in a pad or separate sheets. Available at stores like Kmart as well — no big investment needed. We work fast and freely — you'll go through plenty so be generous.

Good affordable option: Fabriano Accademia. M.E.S have a big variety and options for paper. You can also get the most basic bristol sheet. Doesn't need to be sophisticated or expensive — we want to be free and experimental with our paper, and to use it with abandon.
